What to Expect During Your Appointment
Wishing Well Veterinary Hospital always strives to maintain your pet’s health and well-being throughout their life. We recommend yearly physical examinations by our veterinarians to ensure your pet is in tip top shape and administer vaccinations as needed. We can also create a vaccination schedule customized for your pet’s specific needs. During your first appointment, your veterinarian will examine the following:
- Eyes, ears and nose
- Heart and respiration
- Abdomen contents
- Correct bite placement
- Symptoms of infection or parasites
- Appropriate growth and development
- Presence of hernia
We suggest completing paperwork prior to your appointment, or arriving early at our animal hospital to guarantee you have sufficient time to discuss any concerns with your veterinarian. In addition, we ask that you bring any medical records from your pet’s previous veterinarian to help make certain your pet has a smooth transition of care.
Arriving for Your Appointment
To better ensure the safety of our team, other pets, and their owners, we require all pets to be up to date on their necessary vaccinations. We also ask that all pets are secured on a leash or in a carrier to enable fellow pets and clients to remain safe and comfortable while waiting for their appointment.
